Edward (Ned) Meagher

Senior Partner, Carter DeLuca

Ned Meagher is AASA's lead intellectual-property counsel and a Senior Partner at Carter DeLuca, where he has practiced since 2002. With over 29 years of experience building strategic IP portfolios, Ned advises clients across electromechanical and mechanical arts, medical devices, software, IoT, control systems, hydrogen systems, aerospace engineering, and drone technologies.

His practice spans every phase of U.S. and international patent, trademark, trade-secret, and copyright prosecution. He prepares complex license agreements, R&D agreements, freedom-to-operate opinions, and validity opinions — giving AASA clients a clear legal picture before entering production.
